Pay it Forward Friday posts are always my favorite–don’t get me wrong, I love posting about fun, fashionable finds, but these posts just fill up my cup (get ready for some puns my friends ;).

When I chose to feature a product, shop or item for PIFF I do my research. This post has been a long time in the making, I heard about Bitty& Beau’s a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love. Although, I have never visited I am an avid follower of theirs on social media…including the infamous Trista the barista (more on her in just a few). In a nutshell, Bitty&Beau’s was founded by Amy Wright, a mother of four, her two youngest (Bitty and Beau) have down syndrome. Amy and her husband are fierce advocates for the value, inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), the Wrights have dedicated their lives to making the world a better place for their children and others living with IDD. Hence the creation of the original Bitty & Beau’s in 2016, a one-of-a-kind coffee shop staffed by those with IDD. Fast forward to two years later, Bitty & Beau’s has 60+ employees and managers, won countless awards –including Amy being honored with CNN’s Hero of the Year and opened a second location in Charleston, SC.

 

As I mentioned, I haven’t had a chance to visit either of their magical locations, but I did have the opportunity to FaceTime with the one and only, Trista the Barista! Trista is insta famous after a few stars of the show, Southern Charm had the opportunity to meet her and shared what an amazing person she is! Lucky for me, she agreed to FaceTime with me and tell me a little about Bitty&Beau’s in her own words:

Favorite thing about working at Bitty&Beau’s: “It’s really, really fun.”

How do you feel about being instagram famous?: “It is fun to have people follow me.”

What are your favorite drinks to make? “Oh boy, I like to make so many.” (So we narrowed it down to her top 3)

Trista’s top drinks to make:

  1. Frappes
  2. Lattes
  3. Hot Teas

Trista’s favorite drink to drink: “Cotton Candy, it’s a milkshake.” and let me tell you it sounds DELICIOUS!!
