To say this post has been a long time coming is an understatement. My 9 to 5 Shoes and I concocted the idea to do another joint post (after the successful giveaway last year) and the quick friendship that flourished post our first shopping trip together. We were searching for a piece that worked for my “work from home” style and Aimee’s business formal work world and to make the task even harder, we were set on finding something that worked on our very different bodies…see Aimee is 5’8 and on a good day I am almost 5’2″, aka 5’1’’. You would think with our mutual love of shopping this would be a no-brainer, fast forward nearly four months and we have finally found something.
Don’t worry there were plenty of misses, including this one below (it’s a hard no from both of us).
Low and behold after perusing the infamous Nordstrom sale, we finally found a piece and let me tell you it is swoon worthy. This wrap blouse from Gibson comes in sizes for all and five colors/patterns. It runs big, so I suggest sizing down. Keep reading to see the short of it!

The Short of It – Casually Classic
First up, I wanted to show the versatility of this top. It really makes simple jeans and flats come together for an easy look for running errands, meetings, etc. I paired it with new favorite high-rise jeans that I tried thanks to Aimee (oh and they are currently part of the Nordstrom sale for $39) and finished with these great earrings set in rose gold.

The Short of It- Sassy Style
This next look is perfect for a night out on the town. I specifically swapped into these high-rise button fly jeans because I have a hard time finding tops to highlight the button fly (no torso problem). The collar of this has a bit of a masculine touch, so I added a girly hoop earring and these feminine/masculine shoes that I LOVE!
